Focus on international trade regulations including anti-dumping statutes, countervailing duties, retaliation, the escape clause and intellectual property rights; international foreign trade legislation: ICC rules, York-Anvers rules, International Arbitration rules, Institute Cargo clauses and international conventions pertaining to transportation; foreign trade formalities and practices; the presentation of decrees, regulations and circular note(s) in Turkey; Turkish export-import regimes and practices, double-sided foreign trade regimes and practices; border trade; temporary exports (processing abroad), temporary imports (processing in Turkey); standardization regime and practices.

INTT 306 International Financial Institutions (3 0 3)
International financial system: past, present and future; fundamental parity conditions in international finance and currency financing; international monetary system; understanding of the multinational financial system; the European Monetary System, international credit market and banking system; foreign exchange risk management, foreign exchange markets; interaction between money and capital markets, impacts of international transactions; flow of funds from outside sources; multinationals and their financial activities; the analysis of international financial institutions such as the World Bank and the IMF.

INTT 308 Export Incentives (3 0 3)
Financing of foreign trade, both exports and imports; forfeiting, factoring and leasing; the structure of export financing in Turkey; the role of the Central Bank, commercial banks and special financing institutions such as development banks, factoring companies and the Turkish Exim-Bank; international surveillance companies and laboratories; establishment and responsibilities of surveillance companies in Turkey; important associations and institutions pertaining to foreign trade relations: the under secretariat of Foreign Trade, Treasury and Customs, Unions of Exporters, Chambers of Commerce and Chambers of Industry, Directorates of Veterinary Services and Plant Protection Services, commercial banks and special financial institutions; the place of International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).

Cultural histories of Middle East and European civilizations; survey of the cultural, scientific, philosophical, and political contributions of the Middle Eastern and European civilizations; focus on the Renaissance, the Scientific Revolution, the Enlightenment, and the French and Industrial Revolutions.

INTT 322 Contemporary International Political Affairs (3 0 3)
Survey of concepts, major events and ideologies of the 20th century that have shaped our world; focus on topics such as post WW I political settlements, the post WW II issues including the cold war and the north-south struggles, social and ecological concerns at the regional and global levels.

INTT 401 Customs Regulations (3 0 3)
Presentation of currency regulation in Turkey; decrees pertaining to foreign trade; export incentives: monetary incentives such as tax returns and repayments from DFİF fund; economic incentives: Sectoral Foreign Trade Companies (SDŞ), Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (KOBİ), Free Trade Zones, exemptions from taxes, duties etc.; other incentives in connection with the Turkish Currency Legislation, returns of value added tax (V.A.T.); temporary imports of goods (processing in Turkey); various government aids; financial incentives: export credits (pre-shipment), short-term export credits, insurance of short-term export credits, re-discount credits, buyers’ credits.

INTT 403 International Marketing (3 0 3)
Analysis of the nature of international marketing; development of international marketing over time; product development, distribution, and policies; contemporary issues in international marketing, world market opportunities, distinctive characteristics, alternative strategies, emerging trends; modification of marketing thinking and practices in the face of environmental differences; social, cultural, political and economic problems of Turkish enterprises in foreign markets.

INTT 404 Foreign Trade Financing (3 0 3)
Presentation of international rules for transportation; transportation contracts, liabilities of parties, packing, pricing, shipping, loading and dispatching, timing and delivery periods in transit transportation; transportation and insurance documents; interpretation of international conventions as regards transportation (TIR, CIM, CMR, IATA, FIATA, etc.); international sales of contracts in terms of the Turkish Commercial Law, terms set by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC); international terms of payment; advance payment, open account, cash against documents, documents against acceptance, cash on delivery, counter trade, letter of credit; documents used in international trade; commercial documents, official documents, financial documents; presentation of the Turkish Customs Law, Regulation(s) and Circular Note(s); interpretation of export-import rules, procedures and practices; transit (of goods) rules, procedures and practices.

INTT 405 International Investment (3 0 3)
Focus on fundamental and technical analysis of international investment decisions; the global trade and investment environment; cost of capital for foreign investments; the structure and operation of foreign stock markets; the impact of multinational capital flow on domestic markets; examples of free market strategies to attract foreign capital; analysis of the foreign investment regulations in Turkey; unique clauses and provisions applicable to BOO, BOT, leasing, joint-venture, mergers and acquisitions.

INTT 406 International Distribution Channels (3 0 3)
Examination of the development of international distribution channels; importance of channel management to the firm; evaluation of international market opportunities through coordinating strategies in world markets; international channels and physical distribution; international marketing channels for counter-trade; problems in establishing and managing international marketing channels; market research, information systems, and management strategy in international distribution channels; examples of international marketing channels.

INTT 409 Natural Resource Economics (3 0 3)
Survey of the economics of renewable and non-renewable resources including fisheries, forests, minerals, and fuels; optimal trade-offs between benefits and costs of resource use including trade.

Understanding the strategic management and introduction to manager’s perspective in the field of international investment, international trade, and international payments; emphasis on identifying and analysing strategic issues and problems of establishing business goals, formulating strategy, issues in strategy, implementation, and procedures for strategy control; application of the strategic management concepts through case studies; examination of the strategies of several leading multinational corporations; comparison of local business with products exported by multinationals.

INTT 414 International Sales and Negotiations (3 0 3)
Prospecting; oral and written sales communication; objection handling, motivating, compensating, controlling, evaluating, territory, and quota setting; techniques for bargaining; ways to develop and use personal negotiation strategy; organising a negotiation team; coping with crisis negotiation in international settings; developing international sales personnel, planning foreign assignments; negotiation strategies and tactics for international exchange; processing and negotiating, drafting and enforcing observance of bilateral and multilateral international legal agreements; understand the processing and implementing international arrangements for settlement of disputes through international arbitration and adjudication; negotiating and entering into bilateral and multilateral tariff and trade agreements.

Analysis of economic integrations in the world, with special emphasis to the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC), The Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO); the origins and historical development of the European Union (EU), institutional structure of the EU, theories of economic integrations, competition and the monetary union in the EU, common sectoral economic policies in such sectors as industrial, agricultural, external trade, foreign direct investment, transportation, environment, energy, employment and social policies in the EU.

INTT 416 European Union and Turkey (3 0 3)
The basic principles of The customs union decision (CUD) between Turkey and the European Union (EU); CUD and its effects on the Turkish economy, the major political and economic issues of Turkey toward full membership of the EU. In addition, the relations of Turkey with EU, mainly sectoral negotiations on the customs, agriculture and fishery, free movement of goods and services, trade, economic and monetary issues, innovation, transportation, environment, energy, and Trans European Network, regional development, employment and social policy.

INTT 420 Comparative Political Systems (3 0 3)
Survey of the political and governmental systems of major foreign powers; emphasis on political parties, legal institutions, material and non-material cultural and economic institutions, institutional developments.

INTT 422 International Marketing Research (3 0 3)
Marketing research in the ınternational environment designing, ınternational marketing research, secondary data sources, issues in primary data collection, nonsurvey data collection techniques, survey research: ınstrument design, survey research: sampling and data collection procedure, multicountry data analysis, the international marketing information system.

MAN 416 International Finance (3 0 3)
Foreign exchange markets, exchange rate determination theories, international trade financing; project on the Turkish case; multinational financial activities, international banking and financial institutions, markets.

An in-depth analysis of the moral responsibilities of an organization and its employees; individual rights and the free market; professional conduct and standards; emphasis on the nature, governance, structure, and social responsibilities of a corporation to balance the activities and duties of the firm to the society.
