Discussing the foreign trade strategy of Turkey; structure of export
and import financing; Studying the principles of financial
instruments (factoring, leasing and forfeiting); The encouragement
policy of exports and export incentives (monetary, economic and
financial incentives, government subsidies, etc.). Also, Export
Credit Bank of Turkey’s short term credit and insurance/ guarantee
programs; Examining the legislation (laws, decrees, regulations,
etc.) of Free Trade Zones, Inward and Outward Processing Traffics
and Border Trade; focus on the status of foreign trade corporate and
sectoral foreign trade companies, surveillance companies and
laboratories; collaborating associations in foreign trade operations
(Undersecretariates of Foreign Trade, Treasury and Customs, Unions
of Exporters and Importers, chambers of commerce and industry,
commercial banks, etc.)

random variables, distributions; some probability distributions;
binomial, poisson, hypergeometric, normal,l and exponential
distributions; sampling distributions; central limit theorem; the

ITM 218 Financing and
Institutions of Foreign Trade in Turkey (3 0 3)
Definition of foreign exchange (rates, formation, quotation,
transfer, etc.); Ways of foreign exchange dealings (arbitrage, spot,
forward, swap and option); Basics of terms of payment (counter
trade, clean payment, cash on delivery, documentary collection,
acceptance credit and letter of credit, etc.); Presentation and
interpretation of the Turkish Currency Legislation (laws, decrees,
regulations, etc.) and studying circular letters pertaining to
foreign trade of the Central Bank of Turkey; Financial documents
(bill of exchange/draft, promissory note, trust receipt, etc.) used
in international trade.
ITM 204 The Turkish
Custom Regime and International Transportation (3 0 3)
An overall description of regional integration agreements, Customs
Union, free trade agreements and biletaral trade agreements; the
framework of the Turkish Customs Legislation (laws, decrees,
regulations, etc.) ; presentation and interpretation of the Turkish
Customs Regime, customs procedures specially for exports and
imports; focus on international conventions for transportation
(Brussels Convention, rules of La Haye/Wisby and Hamburg, CMR,CIM,
TIR, IATA, ATA, etc.) and international rules for transportation
(contracts, liabilities of parties) and systems of packing, loading,
shipping and unloading; basics of cargo insurance; transportation
and insurance documents used in international trade.
ITM 226 International
Financial Markets and Institutions (3 0 3)
Introduction to international financial system: bretton Woods
system,the fundamental parity conditions in international finance
and currency financing; managing the multinational financial system;
markets for foreign exchange; interaction between money and capital
markets.
MAN 204 International Marketing (3 0 3)
Analysis of the nature of international marketing; development of
international marketing over time; product development and policies;
distribution; contemporary issues in international marketing; world
markets opportunities, distinctive characteristics, alternative
strategies, and emerging trends; modification of marketing thinking
