Foreign Students’ Admission To Undergraduate Programs
All foreign candidates (except the students with
Turkish Cypriot Citizenship and the ones with double citizenship,
Turkish or Turkish Cypriot) seeking admission to the Undergraduate
programs in Turkey must be in the last year of their High School
education or have successfully completed their education at a school in
which the education is equivalent to that of a Turkish High School at
the time of application.
Examination for Foreign Students (YÖS) is an
examination which the foreign students who want to attend Çankaya
University are required to take. Exam results can be used for admission
to all programs at our university. This exam is administered by the
National Student Selection and Placement Centre (ÖSYM).
YÖS results are only for those applicants who wish to
enrol in undergraduate programs.
The applicants who want to take the YÖS exam can get
the ÖSYM-YÖS-2008 instruction booklet and the application form either by
writing to ÖSYM-YÖS, 06538 Ankara, Turkey or by applying in person to
ÖSYM-YÖS, Karyağdı Sokak No.28 Aşağı Ayrancı, Ankara, Turkey.
As of December 2007, these documents are handed out
for free to those who apply in person to the address above, or sent by
mail to those who apply by writing to the postal address above.
Application Requirements
For the 2008-2009 Academic Year the applications of
the candidates who meet any one of the requirements listed below will be
accepted for further evaluation.
1- Applicants who score at least 40 or more on the
Basic Learning Skills Test of the examination for foreign students (YÖS 2007 or YÖS
2008).
2- Applicants who score at least 1000 or more on the
Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT 1).
3- Applicants who score at least 21 or more at the
National College Admission Examination (ACT)
4- Applicants who have one of the following
certificates: Abitur, French Bachelor, GCE A Level Certificate (at least
two courses) and International Bachelor (IB).
5- Applicants whose average score is at least 80 or
more for all of the courses in the Scientific Stream of the Tawjihi
Examinations, which are held in Jordan and Palestine.
6- Applicants whose diploma grade is at least 13 or
more in the Scientific Stream of the Baccalaureat Libanais Examinations,
which are held in Lebanon.

Students are admitted.
The medium of instruction at Çankaya University is English.
Students attend the English Preparatory School for one year. The
duration of the prep school education is not included in the study
period for any undergraduate program. Students who prove successful in
the language proficiency examination held by Çankaya University or
submit valid scores from any one of the English Proficiency Examinations
(TOEFL, IELTS) are directly admitted to the freshman program. At the end
of the Prep School, students who pass the Proficiency Examination can
start their undergraduate studies.
At Çankaya University, education is subject to tuition fee.
The tuition fee for the 2008-2009 Academic Year is 14.000 YTL (VAT
excluded) for all undergraduate programs as well as for the English
Language Program at Prep School.

Application deadline for foreign students seeking admission to Çankaya
University is August 8th, 2008. Upon the evaluation,
the applicants who are found to be eligible can register for their
programs between September 1st-8th 2008.
