 in Turkey under the auspices of the European 
 Society for the Study of English (ESSE)\n

 Çankaya University\n

 The 
 annual, peer-reviewed IDEA Conference, established 
 in 2005 by the Turkish national association 
 for English studies, is the largest and 
 most comprehensive venue for the free exchange 
 and dissemination of ideas on literary, 
 language, and cultural studies in Turkey. It 
 is held at a different university each year, 
 and attended by scholars from around the world 
 as well as around the country.\n

 IDEA 2017 
 is being hosted by the Department of English 
 Language and Literature, the Department of Translation 
 and Interpreting Studies, and the 
 Academic English Unit at Çankaya University, 
 which in 2017 will also be celebrating its 20th 
 anniversary as one of the most modern and 
 rapidly evolving research and teaching universities 
 in Turkey.\n
